Korean literature is becoming popular in foreign lands. France's Gallimard published Shin Kyunglim's verse collection "Dreams of the Defeated" in the spring of 1995, and Germany's Suhrkamp is planning to issue Ko Un's poetry volume "Star of the Fatherland" later this year. The globalization of Korean literature is good news to Korean poets and writers.
