Turner Tour Rakes In $108 Million
Singing legend Barbra Streisand may have topped the BOXSCORE charts with a few high-- priced farewell concerts, but singing and dancing legend Tina Turner packed them in worldwide during her farewell tour.
Grosses for Turner's SFX-produced tour came in at $108,760,809, the highest for any tour in the year 2000 and nearly double that of the No. 2 band on the top touring acts list, 'N Sync. The boy band's tour grossed $59,243,474.
Those numbers also gave Turner the No. 4 spot of the top touring acts in the past 10 years, coming in behind Nos. 1 & 2, the Rolling Stones ($225,668,374 in 1995 and $193,351,265 in 1998) and No. 3,...
