The article deals with attempts to analyze the explication of the category of topic in the texts of the hagiography genre. The category of topic is explicated in the text of the hagiography in in its trinity, and namely spiritual, subject-sacral and profane varieties, the spiritual topic is genre-formational in this case.

Предпринята попытка анализа экспликации категории темы в текстах жанра жития. Установлено, что категория темы эксплицируется в тексте жития в триединстве духовной, предметно-сакральной и профанной разновидностей, духовная тема при этом является жанрообразующей.
