Relatives of Newcomb College's founder said they will appeal an appellate court judgment in favor of Tulane University in the battle over Tulane's post-Hurricane Katrina closure of Newcomb.
The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday ruled 2-1 in favor of Tulane, sending the lawsuit back to Civil District Court Judge Rosemary Ledet and suggesting a dismissal, said Yvette Jones, Tulane senior vice president for external affairs.
