Abstract

Barbour discusses the staging of three Shakespeare plays in recent Off Broadway productions--Theatre for a New Audience's productions of "Richard II" and "Richard III" and New York Shakespeare Festival's "Macbeth." The work of set designers Neil Patel and Riccardo Hernandez and lighting designers Donald Holder and Scott Zielinski is highlighted.
