As the title implies, this text is written for users rather than preparers of financial statement information. However, the content does not limit this text solely to those individuals. There is sufficient detail of the accounting methodology to satisfy students who will choose to pursue an accounting degree. The initial four chapters cover the accounting cycle and double entry procedures found in most introductory texts. Although the remaining financial accounting material is presented with the user in mind, the basic journal entries are provided.
