Irvine-based New Media Corp. has struck deals with Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. and Zeos International Ltd. of Minneapolis in hopes of strengthening the geographic distribution and market penetration of its portable computer expansion products.
Ingram Micro, the world's largest computer distributor, will sell New Media's full line of input/output (I/O) cards, devices that work like PC boards. The agreement is the second New Media has reached with a major distributor this year: The company signed on with Gates/FA in March. It also distributes through Merisel Inc.
