You know the good old days are back when the Roosters are crowing.
That was the name some developers, bankers and insurers gave to their power-lunch club many years and two recessions ago. The group patronized Chanteclair, then moved to Antonello and then to the Ritz. Last year Chanteclair's John Kookootsedes invited the group to return to its roots and there's been a revival, with membership growing to 83 and $90,000 raised for charities. A recent reunion lunch drew 120, including "oldtimers" like Laguna Niguel insurance broker Matt Schafnitz, lawyer Chris Dubia, CB-Koll senior VP Ron Jackson and first president Jerry Mendelson, who came in from Tucson, where he's in the travel business ...
