Dynamic Printing Source, a small print shop in Plainfield, IL, recently purchased a Heidelberg Quicksetter 40OE thermal platesetter with a MetaDimension software system, creating an all-digital prepress workflow.
Making the change to the CTP system has led to significant time and cost savings for Dynamic, as it eliminated film preparation by imaging plates directly from computer data. Since the installation of the two systems in March 2003, Dynamic has dramatically improved its productivity and lowered its operating costs, and it expects to grow the business more than 15 percent this year.
