Christian & Timbers' Bob Lambert has left the executive search firm to set up his own consultancy in OC. Lambert and C&T had been working on Broadcom Corp.'s CEO search, but the chipmaker recently decided to stop hunting and stick with fill-in tech vet Lanny Ross for months to come-a course of action that seems to be to the liking of both Ross and Wall Street. "It forces the board to spend badly needed education dollars on an election that will be held anyway in November," fumes Adam Probolsky, chairman of the district's Irvine Valley College Foundation.
