Procom Technology in Costa Mesa is planning to go public, adding its name to the growing list of Orange County firms jumping into the IPO market.
The company makes high-capacity disk drives and optical storage products, such as CD-ROM drives, for DOS and Macintosh personal computers. The company also makes an interface based on SCSI (small computer systems interface) standards.
CFO Alex Aydin said the company is preparing a Securities and Exchange Commission filing and is hoping to go public by the end of the year.
