The award-winning, solar-powered home built by Carnegie Mellon University students uses a metal roof from Follansbee Steel.
In September 2005, a team of college students disassembled the solar-powered house they'd worked two years to build, and shipped it to Washington, D.C., as part of the Solar Decathlon.
The event, which ran from Sept. 29 to Oct. 16, challenged college students from around the world to design, build and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered home.
