Jonathan Backus has found a niche in the computer consulting and training industry focusing on the HPe3O0, a Hewlett-Packard minicomputer he has worked with for 19 years.
His company; Tech Group, is based in Backus's Hagerstown home. "I do a fair amount of, work at home with an HPe3000," he said.
He also has one at the Advanced Technology Center at Hagerstown Community College (HCC), where he gives programming and other computer classes to college students and others working on the HPe3000 in the eastern part of the United States. This is done through a subsidiary called Tech Group University, formed in partnership with HCC.
