METHOD OF PREPARATION

1. Calculate the required quantity of each ingredient for the total amount to be prepared.

2. Accurately weigh and/or measure each ingredient.

3. Add the calcitriol and the vitamin E with sufficient cod liver oil to volume and mix well; or add the calcitriol and vitamin E to about half the volume of almond oil and mix well then add the flavor and sufficient almond oil to volume and mix well.

4. Package and label.

PACKAGING

Package in completely filled, tight, light-resistant containers.1 Package in several smaller completely filled containers instead of a large container to minimize headspace during use.

LABELING

Keep out of reach of children. Use only as directed.

STABILITY

A beyond-use date of up to 6 months can be used for this preparation.1

USE

Calcitriol oral liquid for veterinary use has been used to treat renal failure in cats and dogs.
