The Intel PLAY QX3 computer microscope and software integrate computer technology with microscopy in a fun and useful way. This portable plastic microscope is brought to you by The Learning Company and is the product of a collaboration between Intel, the computer chip company, and Mattel, the toy company. The microscope connects via a USB port to a Windows 98 computer, and is used in conjunction with an easy-toinstall accompanying CD designed to allow students to view and manipulate collected samples on the computer monitor.
