Homer Simpson knows how to get to the Kwik-E Mart in Springfield, and now he can help users navigate to their favorite points of interest in North America or Europe. TomTom has joined forces with Locutio Voice Technologies and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising to bring the original voice of Homer Simpson (recorded by Dan Castellaneta himself) to all TomTom devices via download. TomTom users can go to www.tomtom.com/simpsons and download the voice for $12.95. Homer Simpson is the latest character to join the growing lineup of voices available for use on devices made by TomTom. The company's portable navigation devices oner up to 70 preloaded voices in 36 languages.

VoiceTrust introduced its iPhone VOICESAFE voice authentication application to the iTunes App Store. VOICESAFE stores credit or debit card PINs, passwords for logins, or any other secret the user wishes, all of which will be displayed only after the iPhone application has recognized both the voice and the pre-established passphrase.
