General Motors Corp. plans to solicit requests in July for proposals for construction work on the $900 million renovation of the GM Tech Center in Warren.
Pending various abatement and tax incentive approvals from the state and the city of Warren, construction is scheduled to begin in August, said Gerry Holmes, director of media relations, facilities for GM.
The project is expected to employ more than 1,000 in-house and contract architects and construction workers, Holmes said. Completion is scheduled for late 2003.
