Anthony Caudle is doing his part to help Detroit live up to its self-proclaimed nickname of the Renaissance City.
Caudle, 44, has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, a master's in business administration from the University of Chicago and a master of divinity degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
By day, he is managing director and head of the corporate investment banking group for Comerica Securities, an arm of Comerica Inc., overseeing corporate financings that can range from $150 million to more than $1 billion, often as a co-manager with other bond firms.
Deals Comerica co-managed in May include a $300 million bond offering for DTE Energy Co. and an offering of $285.5 million in common equity for Mack-Call Realty Corp., a real estate investment trust based in New Jersey.
By night and weekends, Caudle can be found at Henry Ford Hospital, where he is a chaplain; at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, where he is a board member and volunteer; or at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit--one of the largest churches in the area--where he is an associate minister, teaching a Bible class, doing baptisms and Scripture readings and giving the occasional sermon.
