For its innovation in markets including FX options and non-deliverable interest rate swaps, stellar performance and growth and an approach that seems to put the customer first, LCH is GlobalCapital’s Derivatives Clearing House of the Year.
“This year we have delivered major product innovations,” says Cameron Goh, global head of rates product at LCH in London. “We’ve been delighted with our customer support and are proud of the team.”
With good reason. Take LCH ForexClear’s launch of FX options clearing in July 2018. Nearly nine years in the making, the launch incorporated the first ever physical FX settlement service for cleared FX products, which LCH developed in collaboration with CLS. ForexClear continues to be the leader in clearing FX NDFs with approximately $70bn in average daily volume.
“This is a landmark release which has the potential to bring material capital, risk and operational efficiencies to the FX market, and was developed in partnership with our customers,” says Goh.
