Canadian video-over-DSL facilitator PixStream has added content to its technology offering by teaming up with WSNet, a distributor of satellite TV programming to private cable and wireless.
"They wouldn't be a brand that would be widely known from a consumer standpoint, but certainly if you were a smaller cable company and were looking for a point of aggregation for the content you're receiving, WSNet is definitely a major player," says Dave Caputo, PixStream's VP-marketing.
Content, Caputo points out, is a very important element for the company that last month was acquired by Cisco Systems for $369 million.
