Wartsila Corporation has received repeat orders for the Wartsila 64-the world's most powerful medium-speed diesel engine. Four 6L64 engines have been ordered by Polish shipbuilder Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa as main engines for four 18,900 dwt multi-purpose vessels recently contracted by the Dutch shipowner Spliethoff Bevrachtningskantoor B.V.
The vessels are repeats of ten S-class vessels delivered in 1999-2000 to the same owner. Four of these vessels were built by Stocznia Szczecinska in Poland, three by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., and three by Tsuneishi...
