Lencioni has done a creditable job of describing how his concept of organizational behaviors can negatively and positively influence a firm on its journey to success. The vehicle that he has chosen to convey his ideas is a fascinating fable about a widely talked-about, well-funded, and promising startup located near Silicon Valley. The story tracks Kathryn, the new CEO of DecisionTech, as she reorganizes and trains her management team through the formation period of her tenure and beyond.
Literary license is liberally used to illustrate salient organizational behavior points throughout the story that make it very readable and informative but not exactly believable. This is especially true of the...
