This book is essentially a part two to William Kelso's 2006 Jamestown: The Buried Truth. In that first book, he outlined the process of locating James Fort and shared some of the key findings. In this latest volume, Kelso brings readers current with what has taken place at the site since the time around the big Jamestown quadricentenary celebration that drew worldwide attention. As the director of the Jamestown Rediscovery archaeological investigation, Kelso is in the catbird seat and shares the view from that vantage with his readers. His engagement with the project and pride in its outcomes is tangible on every page-and even visible in the many selfie-style high-quality color photographs that adorn those pages.
