The joint venture announced last week between Acme Television and Emmis Communications could breathe new life into The Daily Buzz, Acme's year-old weekday morning news show.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will share production costs and syndicate the show to other TV groups. In advance of the joint venture, which begins Jan. 1, 2004, Emmis will begin airing The Daily Buzz on its WB affiliates WKCF-TV in Orlando and WBPG-TV in Mobile, Ala., beginning Dec. 1.
