A third 10 p.m. local newscast will launch next month in Charlotte, N.C., when WB affiliate WFVT throws its hat into the ring. Though it may be surprising to out-oftowners that the 28th-ranked market in the country would have such a competitive 10 o'clock news market, local factors at play have brought it about.
