Interpolation of Spatial Data. Some Theory for Kriging M. L. STEIN, 1999 New York, Springer pp. xvii + 247, 37.50 ISBN 0 387 98629 4
This book provides a rigorous study into the mathematical aspects of random fields, spatial dependence, Gaussian measures and related aspects of kriging. The author makes a great effort of motivating and explaining unknown theory of kriging. Controversial questions as asymptotics in spatial statistics are also discussed in detail. It is in fact, one of the few books addressed to those really interested in the background aspects of linear interpolators in spatial data.
The book has 6 chapters and one appendix...
