Abstract

Sentient Networks, an access switching company, wants a piece of the carrier and Internet service provider action enjoyed by other companies. They have a window of opportunity created by their breakthrough technology and by the deregulation of competition in the market. Sentient's switches will offer significantly higher port density - about 7 times higher - that is now available with 672 DS-O lines per card.
