FundWare provides a high level of functionality and a large number of integrated modules that work together in one of the most comprehensive solutions for nonprofit organizations of all sizes.
The general ledger chart of accounts structure handles up to 18 digits; however, it's easier to use one of Fund Ware's predesigned setups of either 10 or 15 digits. FundWare can handle complex, interconnected charts of accounts, and you can adapt it for for-profit or nonprofit entities, or any combination thereof. The software offers multiple levels of consolidation and intricate balancing arrangements between funding sources.
FundWare's general ledger financial reports are extensive. Since each account can have up to 15 attributes and two aliases assigned to it for consolidation purposes, FundWare complies with SFAS 116 and 117. Indeed, these standard reports are included as part of Fund Ware's normal reporting arsenal.
The General Ledger allows you to summarize or collect information using any one or combination of the digits of the chart of accounts almost effortlessly. An additional option, the Extended Report Writer module, permits you to create lineby-line formats to report on virtually any aspect of the ledger and create multi-column formats as needed.
