Abstract

ECOMP-3 IS A FORTRAN IV computer program designed to provide complete and accurate computations for the user of small to medium-sized linear simultaneous equations models. It computes two-stage least squares and three-stage least squares estimates of structural parameters as well as estimates of the reduced form parameters and a number of related test statistics. The program accommodates problems in which the sample size, number of endogenous variables, and number of exogenous variables do not exceed 100, 10, and 13 respectively. These size restrictions can easily be altered to handle larger problems (by changing dimension statements in the program), but if they are increased the program storage requirements may exceed the capacity of a given computer.
