Santa Ana-MarketLinx Inc., a provider of information technology to the residential real estate industry, appointed Robert Murray as senior vice president and chief information officer.
Mr. Murray will be responsible for establishing and directing the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for MarketLinx's information technology products.
Prior to joining MarketLinx, he was vice president, enterprise technology architecture for The First American Corp.'s Enterprise Technology Group, where he was responsible for enterprise-level technology strategy and guidance for projects that spanned across multiple First American business units.
Santa Ana-First American Home Buyers Protection Corp. has named Daniel T. Langston president and Lawrence F. Hariton chief operating officer.
With nearly 30 years of home warranty experience, Mr. Langston, who joined First American Home Buyers in 1984, served as senior vice president for 20 years before assuming the roles of executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2004, positions that he has held until his appointment as president.
In February 2006, Mr. Hariton was named chief financial officer for First American Home Buyers, a position he will continue to maintain in addition to his new responsibilities as chief operating officer.
Santa Ana-The First American Corp. promoted Landon V. Taylor to senior vice president, director of market development.
In his new role, Mr. Taylor will continue to oversee First American's nationwide strategic markets business strategy, which he launched for the company in 2003.
