Candle Corp. last week launched a new package of network and systems management software to monitor and control distributed Oracle Corp. and Sybase, Inc. databases, as well as Novell, Inc. NetWare LANs.
The Candle Command Center (CCC), announced at the UniForum 1995 show here, is an object-oriented management pack. age that promises to help users quickly identify and fix application and network performance, as well as availability problems.
"The idea with CCC is to give users specific packages of tools to manage the availability and performance of distributed applications," said Scott Phares, senior director of distributed solutions for Candle. "Our strategy is to provide tools for the most popular networks and databases, then expand CCC to handle other environments later this year."
