* Baler Software Corp. plans to deliver this fall a Windows version of its spreadsheet-based development tool that allows users to create applications that can be deployed on other systems using the standard "@" commands that come with most spreadsheet packages.
Visual Baler 1.0 will give users a visual programming interface for creating applications on top of Excel from Microsoft Corp., 1-2-3 from Lotus Development Corp. or Quattro Pro from Borland International, Inc. Once created, these stand-alone applications can be run on any Windows system, regardless of whether the system is running a spreadsheet.
Although Visual Baler 1.0 is still in the alpha-testing...
