General Motors has selected the team that will lead the design of its $880-million facility investment in the Warren Technical Center campus in southeast Michigan. The design of the master plan was awarded to architect and planning firm Kaplan/McLaughlin/Diaz, and consulting engineers Ove Amp & Partners, while Gensler will provide interior design. All three firms are based in San Francisco. Persons Brinckerhoff, New York, will serve as program manager and assist GM in finalizing a facilities implementation plan. The project is part of GM's proposed $1.5-billion five-year investment in its southeast Michigan engineering facilities.
Architecture and interior design firm VOA Associates Inc., Jacksonville, Florida, will provide restack plans for Building 700 at Southside Park in Jacksonville. Plans call for NationsBank to expand two major divisions into the five-story, 100,000-sq.ft. facility by April....
