Two Fairfield County-based builders, Louis L. Ceruzzi Jr. and Alexius C. Conroy, have formed a partnership that is interested in developing Saks Fifth Avenue's 20-acre distribution center property in Yonkers, N.Y.
Ceruzzi, whose recent projects include. a new Home Depot store in Bridgeport, is president of Ceruzzi Properties of Westport. Conroy is president of Conroy Development Co. of Greenwich, which is working with Saks Fifth Avenue on plans for an upscale retail center in White Plains, to be called Westchester Place.
Ceruzzi and Conroy want to raze the distribution center and replace it with a retail complex of between 250,000 and 300,000 square feet.
