WASHINGTON, DC
The under-construction 1700 K St. is now 60% preleased to law firms as a result of a 77,000-sf deal from Morrison & Foerster LLP. Owners 1700 K Street Associates LLC tapped Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty to handle negotiations, while the tenant was repped by CB Richard Ellis. The 12-story structure comprises some 390,000 sf with 18,000 sf of retail space. Completion is expected in April 2005.
INDIANA
In a sublease with Costco Wholesale Corp., Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc. has signed a deal to occupy a 400,000-sf distribution center within the Precedent South Business Park in Greenwood. The tenant was represented by Colliers Turley Martin Tucker.
Clothing manufacturer Berne Apparel Co. has expanded from its present headquarters in Berne into 147,812 sf of space at 2100 Summit Dr. in Ft. Wayne. Riverwoods, IL-based Podolsky Northstar Realty Partners and locally based Goldstine Knapke spoke for the owner of the 474,029-sf industrial property, United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund, based in New York City.
