Spurred on by their pure "CHiPs"/"Get Smart"/James Bond appeal, I chose to try out Motorola's TalkAbout 280 SLK 2-way radios, which look like walkietalkies at their high-tech finest. Smaller than your palm and able to work at distances of up to two miles, these little babies made for immediate great fun around the office, and are a lot less irritating to co-workers than highvolume intercoms. Easy to use, with a big, fat talk button in the middle, clear reception, and good volume control, the TalkAbout even has privacy codes to keep out unwanted trucker conversation. Still, after
