Hutto is about to be home to the next La Frontera. At least that's the view of developer Steven Adams.
Adams has 414 acres under contract off U.S. Highway 79 and on the west side of FM 685 for a mixed-use project called The Crossings at Brushy Creek. The future State Highway 130 will bisect the project, giving it more than half a mile of frontage on both sides of that roadway
He says he envisions The Crossings at Brushy Creek as featuring a mix of retail development off FM 685 and SH 130, as well as senior citizens apartments, regular apartments and offices.
Adams plans to market the land at $35.9 million for any developer interested in buying it, but be isn't disclosing how much he is paying for it. Adams is purchasing the property from the Stromberg, Shepherd and Hargrove families.
