An Austin public relations firm is changing its name to recognize the work of one of its partners.
After 14 years, Don Martin Public Affairs Inc. is renaming itself Martin & Salinas Public Affairs Inc.
The shift reflects the increasing role of Trey Salinas, who has been a partner in the firm since 1999.
Salinas joined the firm as a vice president in February 1997 after serving for three years as an assistant to then-Austin Mayor Bruce Todd. Salinas started working for Todd as an administrative assistant but moved up to chief of staff from November 1994 until January 1997.
