Central Texas event management executive Tim Stallard is courting a bigger piece of the sports and entertainment business.
Stallard, president of Spicewood-based ProLink Sports & Entertainment LLP, has teamed up with tennis great Jim Courier and New York entertainment strategist Jon Venison to form InsideOut Sports and Entertainment LLP.
InsideOut is based in New York and plans to open an office in Austin, Stallard says.
Over the next two years, ProLink will be folded into InsideOut, Stallard says.
In Austin, ProLink is best known for producing the Gibson-Baldwin Grand Slam Jam, an annual tennis exhibition that's spiced up with live music. The Grand Slam Jam benefits cancer research backed by the San Antonio-based Hope Foundation. Past participants include Andre Agassi, Lance Armstrong and Pete Sampras.
Tennis will be the cornerstone of the events and promotions that InsideOut develops and markets, Stallard says, and each project will have a charitable component. InsideOut also will manage Courier's tennis and marketing career, Stallard says, and evenually might manage other tennis professionals.
Perhaps...
