Rockwell Telecommunications has introduced a PC-based software application intended to bring call center computer telephony integration (CTI) functionality to smaller organizations. SimpliCTI (pronounced simplicity) runs on a 486 or Pentium-based computer under OS/2 and can support up to 50 users. The application reads Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) and Automatic Number Identification (ANI) information and uses it to pull up stored customer profiles or other information. Users can also use outbound features like speed dialing and preview dialing from their workstations.
