Globalization of the technology industry is forcing the wireless components community to rethink business models. Within the entire organizational structure is the increasingly important area from a strategic standpoint called supply chain management (SCM). Successful SCM strategies not only increase the bottom line but also have the unexpected result of changing corporate cultures and making the organization stronger and more flexible.
Cost savings, a prime motivator in all SCM models, come from critical decision making that all companies are required to make in today's economic environment. These decisions require new corporate philosophies with fresh perspectives that embrace SCM strategies as a key ingredient for corporate change.
