Waremart, Inc., plans to built an 84,000-square-foot store in Meridian, probably in 1996, the company has announced.
Bob Richins, vice president of the Boise-based supermarket chain, said an 8-acre site in Central Valley Corporate Park was purchased last week from Nahas-Benoit Cos., developer of the park.
The Meridian market, he noted, was growing rapidly, and "could well-support one of our stores"--even though several other new supermarkets are planned or considered for the area.

No timetable for the project has been drawn, Richins said, but it was "logical to assume" that the store would be built...
