Norco Inc., a Boise-based medical-supply and industrial-gas supply firm, plans to expand to Meridian with a new facility due to get under way this fall and open by next spring.
Jim Kissler, CEO of the Boisebased company, said Norco has purchased 6 acres at 2150 E. Fairview Road, between Locust Grove and Eagle roads, for a 20,000-square-foot building to sell welding, safety and medical equipment and supplies. Norco bought the property from former Golden Rule Auto Dealers owners Graye and Timbre Wolfe.
"The growth of Meridian and of prospective customers there such as St. Luke's hospital wan-ants Norco building a facility in Meridian at this time, Kissler said.
"We tend to locate our medical supply stores in the general proximity of health-care providers," he said.
Kissler said two additional structures will also be constructed on the site for retail and restaurant use. A 20,000-square-foot multi-use building is planned at the same time as the Norco building, and is to be offered for lease. Kissler said he...
