First CrestHill suites to open in Syracuse in March

DEWITT-CrestHill Suites, a new 86-suite residential hotel on DeWitt's New Venture Gear Drive, is scheduled to open in early March. The $6.8 million hotel is aimed at the extendedstay business-travel market and will compete directly with other all-suite business hotels located off nearby Carrier Circle.

The DeWitt CrestHill is the first of a new chain of business hotels created by Wichita, Kan. -based CrestHill Suites Co., LLC. The second hotel in the chain is scheduled to open in Wichita in the fall, says Grant Gaudreau, president of CrestHill Suites Co. The Syracuse venture has local financial backing from a group that includes principals of the Edgewater Companies and Hueber-Breuer Construction Co., Gaudreau adds.
