Zebb's Deluxe Grill and Bar has a fairly simple home page: www.zebbs.com. The white-on-black format, uses the simplest of designs to convey basic information. For any restaurant, the top visitor-questions would be "Where is it?" and "What's on the menu?" Zebb's answers both queries thoroughly and fulfills its essential purpose. The menu page delivers one big list of menu items complete with prices. The takeout menu is listed as a link on a separate page, coupled with adequate warning that it's in Adobe Acrobat format. Apparently the file was out making deliveries during our visit as a "'404" error was the only reward for a click. In the changing restaurant business, menus get regular updates, so Zebb's might be making some changes in its takeout file. The employment-application file works just fine. The promotional page shows some menu specials that are a bit difficult to read. The "Zebb's Laws" section contains sage advice such as "Corned beef is tasty because it contains some fat, if you want lean corned beef, order turkey." The "reviews" section contains selections from newspaper restaurant- re views from Buffalo to Utica. The "gifts" section contains information about the $9.95 Zebb's T-shirt. Submitting a photo of someone wearing the shirt at a famous location can pay for the shirt's cost. Members of the site's Wall of Fame get a $10 gift certificate for their Zebb's T-shirt photos. The basic information is all here.
