IDT Launches Global Access Service

Long-distance service provider IDT [NYSE: IDT] on Wednesday introduced IDT Global Access, a service that it claims allows all U.S. based cell phone users to make low-cost international calls with rates cheaper than those charged by cellular providers. IDT Global Access provides international access from any cell phone regardless of wireless plan, IDT says. The plan's access rate to the U.K. and Germany is 6 cents per minute and to Japan for 7 cents per minute. No monthly fees or other charges are added to the cost of the call, IDT said.
