As a profession, there are many issues that divide us, but even more issues under which we must stand as one. We have long been a society that believes "Power to the People" and The Ohio Society of CPAs is encouraging you to use that power.
Literally translated, "E Pluribus Unum" - the motto proposed for the first Great Seal of the United States - means "Out of many, one." Throughout history, the motto has served as a reminder of the struggle of many diverse people attempting to form one nation.
As a profession, there are many issues that divide us, but even more issues under which we must stand as one. Whether you are a sole proprietor or employed by a national firm, practice in industry or education, are inactive or currently practicing, there are several issues that are common to all CPAs.
The Future of the Profession
No matter how much we love what we do, most of us eventually want to retire. In order to do so, we need competent, enthusiastic replacements.
