BMW of North America LLC is introducing an advertising campaign for certified used vehicles that includes its first TV commercials to promote the pre-owned brand.
The TV campaign was created for dealers and will run regionally on spot and local cable channels, says Bill Bates, BMW pre-owned marketing manager. The print campaign will ran regionally and nationally.
"This is the first time we actually shot TV," he says. "We hired actors and a director, the same as we do for new-vehicle ads."
Previous TV spots were made from footage created for new BMWs or offthe-shelf footage, he says.
