The FOX television network in Anchorage has tallied new peak scores in the most recent Nielsen ratings for age groups advertisers desire. In primetime network broadcasts, KTBY-Channel 4 ranked second among viewers ages 25-54, as well as the age group 18-49 ,according to station manager Sean Bradley. Also, for the first time in the station's history, the network slightly topped the NBC network for top spot with audiences ranging from 18-34 years old.
"The 25-54 demographic is a real tough one for Fox," Bradley said. The 18-49 and 25-54 age groups are two of the most coveted demographics in television. "That was a big coup for us this early in the game," he said.
The Fox network was launched seven years ago, and has been programming primetime network shows nightly for three years, he said. Fox schedules only two hours of primetime shows each night, compared to three hours nightly for the other networks, Bradley said.
