ROLLING MEADOWS, IL-Providing a sneak preview to the trade press here recently, Komori America demonstrated its new-generation Print Quality Control (PQCIKV) system, which will debut at Graph Expo 99 and Converting Expo 99.
It will be configured with the Komori Hi-performance Inking System (KHS); the enhanced features and operability of the Komori Management System (KMS-IV); and the real-time color control and management benefits of the Komori Closed-loop Scanning SpectroDensitometer (PDC-S).
As a complete press control system, the package emphasizes ease of use and productivity for maximum throughput in a pressroom environment.
The basic component of the press control system, the Print Quality Control (PQC-IV) console reflects Komori's latest digital engineering technology and is the newest generation of the system.
The PQC provides the ability to preset ink key profiles, ink roller and dampener settings. To set the ink key profiles through the Komori PQC-IV console, digital job data can be manually entered or automatically entered from a magnetic card or floppy disk generated by Komori digital prepress equipment or recorded from an earlier run.
